Sweet Cheeks Doulas was founded to build survivor-centered reproductive care infrastructure—combining full-spectrum doula support, advocacy, education, and community healing under one intentional model rooted in dignity and consent.

Sweet Cheeks Doulas provides full-spectrum support rooted in consent, dignity, and survivor-centered care. We walk alongside you through major life transitions, honoring your story and your choices every step of the way.

  • Our survivor support is grounded in the belief that healing does not require perfection or disclosure—only safety and choice. We offer emotional support, care navigation, advocacy, and resource connection for survivors at any stage of their healing journey. Support is gentle, non-carceral, and shaped by your needs—not expectations.

  • Sweet Cheeks offers body-based, survivor-centered education that prioritizes access, autonomy, and truth. Through workshops, group series, and community education, we teach what many were never given the chance to learn—without shame, fear, or medicalized trauma.

Sweet Cheeks Doulas is currently forming its Founding Board of Directors as we enter our next phase of growth. This board will be steward the long-term vision of SCD—-providing goerance, financial ovesight, strategic guidance, and fundraising leadership as we expand survivor-centered reproductive care in Lansing and beyond.

We are seeking individuals aligned with our values who bring experience in areas such as nonprofit governance, healthcare, finance, legal services, fundraising, and community leadership.

Founding board members will play a critical role in shaping the foundation of this organization and the care infrastructure we are building.

  • Sweet Cheeks Doulas provides full-spectrum reproductive support, advocacy, education, and community care. Our services include:

    • Prenatal, Labor, and Birth Doula Support

    • Postpartum Support

    We offer both one-time support and ongoing care, depending on your needs. If you’re unsure what kind of support you need, that’s okay, we can explore it together.

  • Getting started is simple.

    1. Submit a Request Support form through our website.

    2. A Client Care Coordinator (CCC) will reach out within 48 hours (sooner for urgent requests).

    3. We schedule a consultation to learn more about your needs.

    4. If we’re a good fit, we create a care plan and begin services.

    You are never obligated to move forward after a consultation. You are in control at every step.

  • We are survivor-centered at our core.

    That means:

    • We follow your lead

    • We practice trauma-informed care

    • We operate within a non-carceral and harm-reduction framework

    • We prioritize consent in every interaction

    • We build infrastructure, not dependency

    We are not just doulas—we are building a system of care that includes advocacy, education, and community-rooted support.. We believe care should feel safe, steady, and aligned with your values.

    If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

  • We operate on a sliding scale and Medicaid-reimbursement. Depending on eligibility and service type, support may be:

    • Covered by Medicaid if eligible

    • Offered at reduced cost

    • Provided through grant-funded support when available

    • Available via payment plans

    We believe cost should not be a barrier to care. If finances are a concern, please still reach out, we will explore options together.
